Nero Belgian Waffle Bar

Nero Belgian Waffle Bar

This is a small dessert shop next to Dinesty Chinese Restaurant. This bar is very famous around downtown. Everyday there are many people wait to buy a waffle, especially crowded at the weekend. This bar sells many kinds of waffles covered by fruits or ice creams.
This is Heaven Waffle. I recommend Brussels Waffle which is light and crispy. They put fresh strawberries and whipped cream on the top of waffle. Every bite with fresh strawberry, cream and waffle makes you feel sweet and tasty.
This is Mocha Waffle. In this one, you should choose Liege Waffle which is soft, sweet & chewy. The fresh fruit, vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate and cream cover on waffle. When you eat a part of this waffle, you will feel a smell of chocolate and cream around your mouth.
This is their awesome menu!

Dinesty Chinese Restaurant

Dinesty Chinese Restaurant
This is a Chinese restaurant which has Shanghai and Taiwan local cuisines. This restaurant is next to McDonald's on Robson St. If you want to try spicy and delicious Chinese food, this place is worth visiting.

These are Steamed Chicken Dumplings. In Dinesty, they have many kinds of steamed dumplings - pork, chicken &

crab meat. I strongly recommend steamed crab meat dumplings. When you eat steamed dumplings, being careful about ho soup came out from dumplings.

This Spicy Beef Tendon. They use spicy Chinese sauce to cook tendon until it tastes very elastic. Then they put pieces of scallion to make it more tasty. If you are a meatatarian, you shouldn't miss this dish.

This is a very famous Taiwan dish called Simmer Chicken W/Basil In Three Spice Sauce. They make this dish with three different sauce so that this dish tastes sweet and spicy. They also put some garlic and chestnuts in it.

There are many wonderful dished you could try in Dinesty Chinese Restaurant. They also have many kinds of noodles and fried rice.

Marutama Ra-men

Marutama Ra-men

This is a small ra-men house near Canadian College Student Residence.  Ra-men in Marutama Ra-men is quite different from others because it's more spicy.  Their noodle is very springy and kind of salty. Their soup(called dashi in Japanese) is boiled for very long time and extracted entirely from chicken.  A hint of the ocean flavour in the form of Aosa Seaweed dissolved in the soup to provide the perfect salt balance.
The above picture is Cha-Shu Ra-men.  This is a mild Ra-men and covered by seaweed & onion with four pieces of Cha-Shu.  You could add Tamago(Soft-boiled Flavored Egg) just by 1.25 dollars or refill noodle by 1.25 dollars.  I also recommend their Yaki Gyoza(Grilled Dumpling) & Kakuni(Braised Pork Belly).

Takoya

The New Japanese Restaurant - Takoya

There is a new Japanese restaurant opened on Robson St. named Takoya.  This restaurant just opened for one week.  The restaurant is quite small and only has two floors with few chairs and tables.  They have special machines for making takoyaki and taiyaki.  In this restaurant, they sell many kinds of Japanese foods such as Takoyaki.  Takoyaki is a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and filled with diced octopus.
The above picture is Takoyaki.  Takoyaki in this restaurant is different from others because they will fried takoyaki twice and make it taste more crispy.  Ikayaki(grilled squid) with their homemade sauce is another good option for snacks.
